I found it offers a compassionate, insightful, and balanced look at this all too painful situation that affects many couples. Her concern for helping all players caught up in these love triangles shines through with warmth and a deep sense of concern for all beings. Her ability to hold and delve into the complex messiness of these situations rather than rushing to quick conclusions and judgements feels particularly helpful for me as a therapist thinking about my own clients who come to me in similar situations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have recently listened to the audiobook version of Esther Perel\u2019s \u2018The state of affairs\u2019.
