Can Anything Really Change?

Have you ever noticed how you set self-improvement projects and initially there seems to a major shift (or not even that) but ultimately things return to exactly the way they were?

One of the essential paradoxes we deal with in life is around the desire to change.

The most effective way around this is a true acceptance of ourselves and others as they are – and in this space the possibility for change arises.

So practice noticing your desire for things to be different. Simply notice the thoughts, hold them in your awareness with compassion towards yourself for this ongoing desire, and let them go.
